Yay!!!~~~ *feeling super secure financially* My husband and I went for a short trip to Genting Highlands over the weekend and it was so packed over there! The guests were super rowdy, very inconsiderate, very rude, and all things negative. They do not know how to say Excuse Me, Sorry, and Thank You. The restaurant staff were very inexperienced with bad attitude. To name a few, Hou Mei, Pizza Hut and Pizza Factory had the worst service ever. Hou Mei - Dan ordered soup ramen for me but she served a bowl of dry noodles. Dan repeated to her 4 times that we ordered noodles with soup but she didn't respond at all. At the end, she just grab my bowl away, poured in the soup and 'threw' it in front of me. Pizza Hut - floor was very dirty. Imagine the toilet floor. Tissue, dirt, black stuff. Waited for food for more than 30min, and some customers who came earlier than us had to chase for their food. Apparently, they seem to have a lot of complaints as we saw groups and groups of customers swarming the manager in loud voices and gestures. Pizza Factory - We had to collect the food ourselves, go up to the cashier to pay the bill and yet SERVICE CHARGE WAS IMPOSED. Crap right? I suddenly thought of Jenna when we were at these lousy restaurants. I'm very sure she would scream and holler at them with her ANG MOH accent. LOL. Anyway, this place is seriously not for those who seek good customer service. We were only there for the cool fresh air. But even that was hard to obtain. There were smokers everywhere!!! Even in the shopping malls! Smoking is not prohibited at all!! *screams* Even while we were at Chin Swee Temple, smokers still arise and I was so so so tired of inhaling second hand smoke. *roar* Temple also can smoke one ah, power right? There were also bouts of unexpected rain too. Super shiok ah! So cooling!!! And shivering in the natural coldness was so fun! Hahahaha. Oh ya, by the way, the only restaurants worth mentioning are Hainan Restaurant and Lake View Restaurant. Thumbs up. Hainan - Food was served much faster than the lousy ones I mentioned but we still need to wait at least 10min for drinks. The staff had smiles on their faces and one waiter asked us in advance if we would like to sit in the smoking or non smoking area. Lake View - the staff are always there to refill your tea and clear up the empty plates on your table. They are also much more polite and never seem to rush running around the place unlike the above mentioned ones who ran around the place but get nothing done. Both restaurants place your cutlery in front of you nicely and took orders correctly. =D The arcades there ... One word, 'waste'. You waste your money playing the games there. Machines not working properly, toys not appealing to adults, games are not well-maintained, and there were broken floor tiles. It's true that there's a lot of machines, but none of them appeal to arcade fanatics like us. The only game we played there was Time Crisis 3. Dan also tried his hands on the virtual shooting game where you use a heavy (almost like real) rifle. If not for my 2 'friendly' attributed scores of 0, Dan would have broke the record there. Oh, where did we stay? We checked into First World Lobby 2. I tell you, the procedures were so freaking tedious! From the bus terminal we walked walked walked to the reception at lobby where we were told that we had to check in at the Tour Counter that's located in between the hotel lobby and bus terminal. Walk walk walk walk back and waited for our Q. The staff just took 2 card keys, entered some codes and gave them to us. We didn't even have a chance to request for rooms with internet access and etc. When we went into our room, it was nothing close to what I saw on the internet. The deluxe room was supposed to have internet access, safe deposit box, mini bar (fridge) and a long bath (bathtub). But, the room had none of those. Spent another 1 hour plus just to check and verify and asked if we could upgrade the room but it was full house that whole weekend. They said that the internet access is only for Malaysians and there was no fridge nor safe deposit boxes for Deluxe Rooms. Crap! The 2kg laptop that Dan painstakingly carried over was not used at all. Roar!!!! The staff said we could use the free access at Starbucks but alas, it was also ONLY for MALAYSIANS. So damn unfriendly ok. Getting internet access is such a pain in the a*se. I only obtained the access at Coffee Bean. Shiok ah!!!! No need to register and whatsoever!!! Just get connected and you're on mobile internet! Bwahahahahahaha. And we caught Wall E and La Lingerie at the cinemas there!!! The tickets are so so so cheap! There's OSIM massage chairs and premium seatings and normal ones! Wooooooot!!!~~~ Wall E is sooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!! *loves*
