Bathed, changed, ready for adventure!
Little Dan putting on his shoes.

:)

Must climb the stairs. There's only stairs, no escalators in their local JR stations.

Dan making sure that we are going in the right direction.
You can hear the melody of the approaching train in this video. JR Harajuku Train Station.

At Harajuku!

Kawaii bus!!

Arrived at Meiji Park.

Map of Meiji Garden.

Entrance of the garden towards the Meiji Shrine.

Security officer standing guard.

A 30 minute walk to the shrine.
Dan felt an insect buzzed near his neck. I really didn't see any thing on his shirt. LOL. It was such a cooling weather! The trees blocked the harsh sunlight and it's a few degrees difference away on the streets! Oh, hear the crows!

Hand painted lanterns.

Wine barrels.

12 meter tall.

Reaching the shrine at last!

=)

The entrance to the shrine.

Before entering shrines/temples, one must cleanse his/her hands and mouth. There's a set of procedures about it.
Left hand, right hand, use left hand to take the water and rinse your mouth, and lastly rinse your left hand. I didn't do the mouth rinsing part cos I've already a full set before this video.

Roots of a big tree situated outside the shrine.

Dan taking a shot of the tree.

Souvenir shop. Sells amulets and holy arrows where we got one.

Hang your wishes around the tree.

Another shop for writing your blessings.

Entrance to the Iris Garden. June is the month of Iris blooming.

A glimpse of the many iris.

Atop the pavilion hut.

Vending machines were everywhere!

Don't you find it amazing that trees can still survive with a hole in their trunk?

Holy arrow and some souvenirs for ourselves to start with.
Curry rice as tea break. It's gooooooooooooooood!

Amusing building billboard.

Dan's snapping a ...

lonely looking dog!

Sun's setting.

Wide pedestrian crossing.

KiddyLand!!!! Land of all toys~

Look, Edwin's shop!

Even cigarettes have vending machines.

Making use of space even on lamp posts.

Last words?

Train ticket stub.

Back to Shinjuku for dinner.

Very hungry.

Dan interpreting the menu full of Japanese words.

Signboard in the shop.

My new fabric floral ring! Gotten Jo got a similar one too!

Waiting for our ramen.

Checking cash on hand.

My Ramen.

His ramen.

Food Order. Really 'half noodles' written on the chit. Same way as how Chinese would write.

Ramen is thumbs up! Place is full even during lunch hours!

Our very satisfied faces after a very good dinner.
Dan's funny actions. He was so exhausted at the end of the day (also partly due to the lack of sleep in the plane). And earlier on he mistook the glass panels as door and almost walked onto them.

In the hotel lift. You'll need your room card key to access the lift after a certain time. That's safe! =D
And so we went to sleep near 12 midnight after a few chat with our friends and a good bathtub shower.
