1036th Entry
Experienced lousy service from one of the staff at Century Square's nail parlor, Pinc. I personally feel that their service was better before they renovated.

I was booking an appointment to do my nails and she kept asking me express or full. I, being a manicure/pedicure-idiot, has no knowledge on what's express / classic / full. I was stunned for a while and the lady did not even bother to explain in brief to me but just stood there staring at me. It's as though she's pressing me for an answer fast.

Until now, I was not told in detail what is done in express. Does it include shaping of nails?

What pissed me off the most was she wrote my name wrongly in the appointment book even when I told her the mistake that she made!

When confronted, she diss me off by saying "Never mind lah!! It's ok one."

In what world is it ok?

A name is what identify an individual! It is something that our parents or our grandparents gave and you tell me "it's ok one (to make mistake)".

Bzzzzzz....

I should have right there and then told her off that it is a name given to me by my mother and how could she just not erase the mistake and apologize about it?!

One thing for sure, I will not go back to Pinc for my manicure sessions. I will cancel that appointment later with Jo. If she is to ask me why I will just say "that is not my name after all".

Tsk.

Anyway, Jo has recommended me another place to do my nails. I will give a review when I get my nails done there.

Bottom line, it is rude to get a person's name wrong. Super rude when you ignore the issue when you were told of your mistake and refuse to acknowledge it.

Lines from Gintama 34.
"Is getting hurt so scary, you idiot?"
"There are two things people fear:
Those are death and embarrassment.
Those who try to overcome death are just idiots.
But I won't laugh at those who try to overcome their embarrassment.
I like those kinds of idiots.
Straighten your self up and go, Train Samurai!
Go ahead and embarrass yourself, Train Samurai!
If you embarrass yourself, you'll surely grow stronger!
Go, Train Samurai!"

Ahhh... Gintama never fails to put a smile on my face. =)
